THIS YEAR'S PERSEVERANCE Trail Run goes Oct. 26

Registration is on now for the 10th anniversary of the Perseverance Trail Run on Sunday, Oct. 26.

This year’s race will once again feature our two classic Cumberland courses: the 3k Cross Country Romp and the 10k Mountain Run. There’s only 350 spots and they will go fast so don’t wait to sign up if you plan on joining the fun.

For our 10 year anniversary we are taking our fundraising efforts for the Cumberland Community Forest Society to an entirely new level. This year, an anonymous donor will be matching 100 per cent of all donations raised through the Perseverance Trail Run.

More of the Cumberland Forest is slated to be logged in 2015 and the CCFS is working hard to raise enough to purchase and protect the land, forest and trails for all of us and future generations. Over the past 10 years we have donated well over $20,000 to the CCFS through the Perseverance Trail Run.

This year, our generous ‘Forest Fairy’ has provided us with a rare opportunity and we know you will be as excited as we are about the possibilities. The focus for our anniversary race is to blow the roof off of our fundraising efforts and, with your help, literally ‘buy a forest’.

We have launched a special fundraising drive for the 2014 event and we hope you will join the campaign in any way that you can.   Fundraising is not limited to racers. Anyone can donate to the cause simply by visiting the Perseverance website so please be sure to spread the word.
