Rigsby makes all-tourney team

Oklahoma Christian sophomore Abigail Rigsby, who hails from Courtenay, tied for fourth and made the all-tournament team at the Northeastern State Women’s Golf Classic, which ended Tuesday at Cherokee Springs Golf Club in Tahlequah, Okla.

Rigsby shot a two-over-par 74 on Tuesday, finishing the two-round event with a seven-over 151. The winner fired a 143.

In her freshman year, the Vanier Secondary graduate was named to the All-Heartland Conference women’s golf second-team honour list, and earned a spot in the NCAA Division II women’s golf championship.
