Run and Gun basketball league wraps up

The 2015 Run and Gun Basketball League for Grade 7-9 boys spring league came to a roaring end on Thursday, May 28  at G.P. Vanier.

Sixty boys played hoops for six consecutive weeks on six teams and everybody not only improved tremendously, but all had a fantastic time as well, a league spokesperson said.

The quality of play improved for every player, and we were able to accommodate boys from all over the Comox Valley as well as from Campbell River.

“Big thank yous go to James Shepherd, Coen Leopkey, and Keith MacDonald who helped with the refereeing, and added many tidbits of coaching pointers,” the spokesperson added.

Final results for the league: 1st The Well, 2nd Treys for Days, 3rd Straight Outa Compton, 4th Moneymakers, 5th  Golden McDangles 6th Berserkers.
