The base at Mount Washington reached 223 centimetres by Thursday, placing it fifth on the depth chart among Canadian ski resorts, according to On The Snow. Whistler Blackcomb continues to lead the way at 285 cm.
All 81 alpine runs and 14 Nordic trails are open at Mount Washington.
Thursday was the final day of the Vancouver Island Society for Adaptive Snowsports (VISAS) Festival — four days of free lessons, lift tickets, rentals and transport for people with ‘diverse abilities.’ Sports include alpine and Nordic skiing, sit-skiing and snowboarding.
