Swiss juniors train in Comox Valley

The Swiss national junior hockey team is training at the Comox Valley Sports Centre to prepare for the IIHF World Junior Championship, Dec. 26 to Jan. 5 in Vancouver and Victoria.

For the 10th year in a row, the Swiss are in the top bracket of the annual tourney.

They play defending tournament champion Canada in an exhibition game, Dec. 19 in Victoria.

Christian Wohlwend is the head coach of the Swiss. The team’s training camp runs until Dec. 22 at the Sports Centre.
