Taylor wins Florence Filberg Memorial Tournament at Comox Golf Club

Phyllis Taylor is the latest woman to get her name engraved on the Florence Filberg Memorial Trophy.

Taylor won the annual Florence Filberg Memorial Tournament at Comox Golf Course, Aug. 3, 2021.

The tournament is open to all members aged 50 and over with an established handicap. The trophy goes to the lowest net score. Taylor posted a net 68 for the win.

The trophy was donated by Bob Filberg in 1960 in memory of his wife. The inscription on the bottom of the trophy reads “This trophy is in honour of a lovely lady who enjoyed golf at Comox. Please keep it carefully. August 1960.”
