The ninth annual CVEX Track n’ Trail Kids’ Fun Run attracted 58 participants on Saturday, Aug. 26.
The runners completed one of three trail or track routes, depending on their age. Congratulations to all who took part in this one-of-a-kind event co-organized by the Comox Valley Exhibition and the Comox Valley Road Runners.
First-place girls and boys in each category received a Landmark Cinemas free movie and snack card, compliments of Dr. Foster:
Marshmallows- Heidi Stubbs and Thomas Wainburg;
Chicklets- Akira Munro and Nolan Simpson;
Truffles- Pattie Burch and Everett Burch.
In addition to the place finishers, runners put forth plenty of effort and hard work to reach the finish line. Some kids even demonstrated great camaraderie, waiting for their friend/relative to catch up so they could cross the line together.
This run would not be what it is without the help of some generous businesses.
