The U18 Riptide girls soccer team continued pre-season training and team building with a three-day session in Powell River over the long weekend.

The squad included 11 returning players, four players back from a year in Denmark, and three players moving up from last year’s U15 provincial champions.

On the coaching side, Mike Oldale returns to the Riptide after coaching the Comox Valley United U18 girls for the last three years. The team reached the provincial finals in two of those years.

The U18s thank Neil Sedgwick, head coach of the University of Northern B.C. Timberwolves, for his presentations and training sessions.
