Comox Valley United lost 3-1 to the Mid Isle Mariners in a tightly contested Division 1 men’s soccer game, Saturday at the Vanier turf.
Playing their second game of the season, the home team put in a much better performance than in their 3-0 opening loss to Nanaimo, but came up a bit short. Despite carrying much of the play, the reds couldn’t cope with the Mariner’s devastating counter attack. This said, a lot of positives can be taken from the game.
United plays in Cowichan Saturday.
