Wolves will be at the door this Sunday

Comox Valley United hosting Vic West Wolves in VISL Div. 2 match at Valley View

Comox Valley United will be looking to regain its winning ways this Sunday when they host the Vic West Wolves in a Vancouver Island Soccer League Div. 2 match. Kickoff is 2 p.m. at Valley View.

United had a four-game winning streak and five-game unbeaten streak snapped this past weekend in Victoria when they were blanked 2-0 by Westcastle SSFC. The win moved third-place Westcastle closer to second-place United, as they are now just three points back of the Comox Valley side.

United (6-2-3) are third in goals-for in Div. 2 with 20 and first in goals-against with eight. Gokhan Avcil is tied for third in scoring with seven goals while Darren Bergh and Nick Marinus have five each. Mack Zirkl leads the division in shuts with six.

In their only previous meeting this season, United and Vic West played to a scoreless draw on Sept. 28 in Victoria.
