Logan Yanick of Courtenay finished two shots off the pace in the boys 14 & under division at the CJGA Nike Golf Junior Series/Stephen Ames Cup Qualifier, held March 12-13 at Hazelmere Country Club in Surrey.

Tee off time is 9 a.m.; golfers are asked to be at the club by 8:30 a.m. On April 10 everyone is welcome to official opening day with an 18-hole scramble at 1 p.m. (arrive by 12:30 p.m.). The Royal Military College of Canada’s women’s soccer program will be on Vancouver Island this week for spring competition. The trip will give six of the Paladin team members, including Courtenay’s Paige Campbell, a chance to represent RMC in their home province in front of family and friends.
