For the third consecutive year, Art In The Vines continues to grow.

The event brings together the best of the Comox Valley to benefit the Comox Valley Transition Society. Art In The Vines will be held on Friday, Sept. 15, at the award-winning 40 Knots Winery, Vineyard Terrace, throughout the vines and new courtyard.

“We’re very excited about this year’s Art In The Vines fundraising event,” said Comox Valley Transition Society executive director Heather Ney. “It’s hyper-local and continues to grow and develop with new artists, and musicians and features some of the extraordinarily talented wineries and distilleries in the Comox Valley.”

The Pop Up Shops hosted by artists and beverage makers, are donating 20 per cent of sales to the Comox Valley Transition Society fundraiser. Artists include: Dawn Hanson, Tracy Kobus, Sharon Lalonde, Kathi Ruduko, Sarah Thorneycroft, Esther Sample, Wendy Smith, Deb Salmon, Suzanna Weimer and Maggie Ziegler.

Live entertainment will be provided by the Amanda Hicks & Paul Rodgers Duo. Hicks and Rogers have been playing music together for the past nine years. They have performed live shows in the Comox Valley, and have been fortunate enough to open up for Canadian country artist George Canyon, at the Sid Williams Theatre.

Those attending Art In The Vines will also enjoy the unique experience of learning about and tasting locally produced wines and spirits during the Makers Panel, highlighting the creations of 40 Knots Winery, Shelter Point Distillery, Wayward Distillery and Blue Moon Winery.

And there’s more! You’ll enjoy a locally sourced, deliciously crafted three-course meal from As you Like it Catering by chef Laura Agnew.

The Art In The Vines silent auction features unique items including activities, food, works of art, gift certificates and local goodies donated by local businesses. The auction will be online, starting days before the event and continue online and onsite for everyone.
