Classic LifeCare providing Valley home care

CLC acquired OmniCare; retained all staff

A tradition of client-centred care continues in Comox as family-owned home care agency Classic LifeCare picks up where OmniCare left off.

Classic LifeCare acquired home care agency OmniCare for People at Home in late 2016. Classic retained all employees and clients while working to expand services and grow the Comox branch.

Classic LifeCare is accredited by Accreditation Canada, a third-party regulatory body verifying Classic's commitment to quality and safe service.

In the highly unregulated home care industry, clients and employees often look to an agency with the accreditation seal.

"I can't tell you how thrilled we are to be in Comox," says Andrea Warren, RN and executive leader of Classic. "The agency we acquired has been providing great service in this community. We bring our expertise and leadership support in hopes to enhance

the client experience." Warren looks forward to spending more time on the island. She recently purchased a home in Fanny Bay just one kilometre from where her mother has lived for many years.

Courtenay resident Bev Thompson, a registered nurse, and Classic's strategic development leader and member of its accreditation team, says the company's accreditation status is good news for the Comox Valley.

"We respect the reputation OmniCare built and the loyal clients and employees it attracted," says Thompson. "Classic continues that tradition of great service, family culture and community focus, but also the quality and safety focus of an ac- credited agency."

Lance Pace, who owned OmniCare, said Classic was the right agency to take over because it has the same emphasis on service and client-centred care.
