Estate planning is a critical aspect of financial planning that often goes overlooked.

However, with changing life circumstances and evolving financial landscapes, it becomes imperative for individuals to ensure their assets are protected and distributed according to their wishes.

Alitis Wealth Planning is set to host a complimentary seminar on estate planning. The event, titled “Introduction to Estate Planning,” aims to educate individuals and families on the importance of effective estate planning and the strategies to safeguard their wealth for future generations.

This free seminar takes place on Thursday, Jan. 25, from 2-3 p.m. at the Comox Community Centre (1855 Noel Ave., Comox).

This in-person seminar will cover a range of topics, including wills, power of attorney, representation agreements, beneficiary designations and other essential components of estate planning. Certified financial planners, Shawn Fetter, CIM, CFP, CLU and Emily Hofmann, CIM, CFP will guide attendees through the financial complexities associated with estate planning, debunking common misconceptions, while answering questions that may arise. Attendees can expect an interactive session and are also encouraged to bring their executor to the presentation.

“Alitis Wealth Planning believes that a well-structured estate plan is a key element in achieving financial security and peace of mind. Our goal is to equip individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions about their estates,”said Fetter.

Space for the presentation is limited, and interested individuals are encouraged to register at www.alitis.ca/wealth-planning/presentations/ in advance to secure their spot.

Whether you’re a young adult starting to plan for the future or a retiree looking to ensure your assets are protected, this seminar is perfect for anyone interested in securing their legacy. “Introduction to Estate Planning” strives to be an invaluable resource for all attendees.
