Taking the mic in her own hands, Joanne Carson, owner of JC Auction Sales Inc., will be the auctioneer for her new business later this month.

On Jan. 28, Carson is offering items for sale that will range from tools to furniture and antiques to collectibles, and will be comparable to other auctions on the Island.

Many people have basements, crawlspaces, garages and sheds with a wealth of used treasures just ready to be sold and consignments are being accepted now. The public will have the opportunity to bid on previously owned, gently used articles that are clean and affordable.

Also on the block for bid will be liquidation items, some still in their original packaging.

Viewing will take place the day of the auction between 1 and 6 p.m., with the auction starting at 6 p.m. As a mobile auctioneer, Carson will perform on-site farm and storage unit sales.

Carson has owned a home renovation business and has an extensive executive administrative background; having the ability to conduct auctions herself will reduce administrative costs and establish a strong relationship with her customers.

Also offering a pick-up and delivery service if required, her professional commercial driving designation allows her to handle trucks of all sizes.

The JC Auction Sales website currently has pictures of items to be sold at the upcoming sale, as well as terms and conditions of the auction.

JC Auction Sales is currently accepting consignments now. For more information, contact Carson at 250-650-1191 or visit the website at www.jcauctionsales.com.
