Team Vuvuzela, comprised of six students and one teacher from Vanier Secondary, placed third in the Entrepreneurs Marketplace category at the Junior Achievement of British Columbia annual B.C. Business Challenge in January.

The B.C. Business Challenge is a fast-paced competition where grade 11 and 12 students take on the role of high-tech executives in a global business simulation.

The one-day competition has teams working against the clock to develop management strategies for their imaginary companies, analyzing financial reports and scrutinizing the actions of other companies in a futuristic marketplace.

Team Vuvuzela is made up of members Miranda Knox, Sean Lafleur, Christina Paterson, Steven Sanger, Lance Shaver and Tucker Tomko, along with teacher Paul Rebitt.
