The annual Blessing of the Animals will take place on Sunday Oct. 2, in conjunction with the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi (patron saint of animals) at 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Divine Anglican Church fenced yard at 579 5th Street, Courtenay.
