Comox Museum seeking help chronicling COVID-19 crisis

The current COVID-19 pandemic is a landmark moment for the Town of Comox and its residents. To enforce self -isolation and distancing, most businesses and schools closed and most residents remained in their homes only going out as necessary. Virtually all activities came to a halt.

The current COVID-19 pandemic is a landmark moment for the Town of Comox and its residents. To enforce self -isolation and distancing, most businesses and schools closed and most residents remained in their homes only going out as necessary. Virtually all activities came to a halt.

In order to help preserve the public record, the Comox Archives and Museum would like to receive input from Comox residents documenting their personal experiences of the pandemic emergency. We want to hear from you whether you are a student having to stay at home, a business owner forced to lay off staff or looking at other ways to stay open, a wage earner on layoff or working from home, a senior in self-quarantine, a family coming together to bake sourdough bread or a front line service or medical worker.

Please submit your comments in writing to our email address at comoxmuseum@shaw.ca and attach any photos you would like to share. We will keep your submissions in our archival records and a sampling may be placed on our website. Please title your email as COVID-19 Pandemic 2020.
