The Rotary Club of Comox Valley (CVRC) has launched its second annual Everyone Eats Raffle, and this year it has expanded to include a dinner series.

The Everyone Eats Raffle supports the Lush Valley Food Action Society, the Comox Valley Food Bank, and other Rotary projects.

There are 1,000 tickets available in the raffle ($20 per ticket), which boasts some great prizes. The grand prize is $1,000 in gift cards from local restaurants (10 restaurants, $100 each gift card). Second prize is $800 in gift cards from local restaurants and food providers (eight restaurants, $100 each gift card), and the third prize is $500 in Comox Valley Farmers’ Market tokens.

Tickets can be purchased by emailing tickets@comoxvalleyrotary.ca and they are selling quickly. Winners will be announced after the draw which will take place at Forty Knots Winery and broadcast live on Facebook on Dec. 8, 2021.

“The Everyone Eats Raffle was created to help Valley residents through these particularly tough times, but we also wanted to help local businesses like restaurants, food retailers, and growers survive the challenges of Covid-19, said CVRC president, Amanda Wood. “So, instead of asking businesses to donate prizes, we purchase them.”

The new dinner series component offers some incredible international menus.

“The big news for 2021 is the addition of the Everyone Eats Dinner Series – four nights, four different international menus, four local musicians, and four chances to get out and taste the goodness of the Comox Valley,” said Everyone Eats fundraiser co-ordinator, Myrna Logan.

The dinners include an Italian menu, Oct. 20; Japanese, Nov. 3; Greek, Nov. 17 and French cuisine, Dec. 8.

“We are so excited to expand the impact of the Everyone Eats fundraiser,” added Angela Zumbo, Everyone Eats Dinner Series co-ordinator. “This year we wanted to have some fun and give locals a chance to do the same. Each dinner features a different chef who will create a delectable set menu, paired with wine selections from 40 Knots Winery. Plus, local musicians will provide entertainment for our dinner guests to enjoy during the meal.”

Everyone Eats Dinner tickets are $100 per person and include one Everyone Eats Raffle ticket. For more information and to purchase tickets for one, two, three or all four dinners, visit https://bit.ly/30GYn3n
