The Comox Valley Horticultural Society is having its annual Spring Plant Sale this Saturday, May 4.
This is a much anticipated and popular event for Comox Valley gardeners. This year we have oyas for sale. If you are trying to save water, you might experiment with an oya, a traditional method of rationing water by burying a clay vessel, which seeps water gradually to plant roots.
Come early for the best selections of vegetable and flowering plant starts, as well as a great selection of shrubs, trees and other perennials.
The event runs from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Florence Filberg Centre (411 Anderton Ave., Courtenay), in the Conference Hall.
