Comox Valley Nature is hosting a public lecture about the Vancouver Island Paleontological Society on Sunday, April 15.

Join Dan Bowen for an illustrated talked entitled: “Paleontological Adventures with the VIPS.”

Bowen is the president of the VIPS and has been a member since 1992.

As the field trip co-ordinator for 23 years, Bowen has provided many exciting trips for the VIPS members. His contributions to the science of paleontology include many specimens donated to the Courtenay Museum.

This is an opportunity for the public to learn more about VIPS and the interesting fossils of our area.

The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the Rotary Room of the Filberg Seniors Centre 411 Anderton Ave, Courtenay.
