Every Tuesday afternoon, 1-3 p.m., the Courtenay Fellowship Baptist Church (2963 Lake Trail Rd.) opens its doors to its free family clothing centre.
“We have been doing this for a long time,” said Pastor Rich Briebe. “One of our goals as a church is to partner with different agencies, and be part of the community. So different programs will bring people here, and it gives us a chance to be a blessing to people.”
The church accepts clothing donations in an ongoing manner, and the store is open year-round.
“It’s open to everybody, and we have clothes here for all ages.”
The best time to drop-off donations is also Tuesdays from 1-3 p.m., but there is generally someone in the office during regular business hours. For more information, call 250-334-3432.
