The HMCS Alberni Museum and Memorial had a very special guest Sunday.

The museum held a celebration for June Gillrie’s 103rd birthday, “103 minutes with June Gillrie.”

June’s association with HAMM is through her father. The museum has a display of William Kinnear Leslie, who was killed in action during the Great War a few months after June’s birth.
