Celebrate the magic of the holidays at the annual children’s Christmas Party on Saturday, Dec. 18 at the Lewis Centre.

Courtenay Recreation staff are as busy as Santa’s elves preparing for the party, for children nine years and under accompanied by an adult. The fun starts at 11 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m. Admission is free with a non-perishable donation to the food bank.

At 11 a.m., Luke the Kangaroo will be hopping in to share music and silliness for kids and kids-at-heart, and get everyone ready for the arrival of our very special guest from the North Pole. Santa will be arriving at noon, and will be handing out delicious goodies. Kids can also bring letters to give to Santa during the event.

All current Public Health Orders will be in effect for this event. Masks will be required for five years and older, and vaccination passports will be checked for people 12 years and older. Those who are 19 and older will also be asked to show valid government ID. For more information: www.courtenay.ca/vaccineproof
