Registered local charities and non-profit organizations are reminded to submit their applications soon for the Comox Valley Community Foundation’s (CVCF) community enrichment and professional development grants, as applications will not be accepted after Sept. 27.

Community enrichment grants support projects and programs that are innovative and address demonstrated need in the Comox Valley. Professional development grants assist local non-profits to access training and professional growth opportunities for staff and volunteers, which ultimately builds organizational capacity and strengthens our community. Complete details on both granting opportunities including criteria and eligibility requirements are available on the CVCF website at www.cvcfoundation.org.

The amount of funding available through the CVCF’s community enrichment grants for 2020 is significantly higher than in previous years, due to the additional $140,000 made available through Vancouver Foundation’s The Robert & Florence Filberg Fund. This funding will augment existing grants and allow the Community Foundation to fund even more applications to enrich life in the Comox Valley.
