Fans of the much-loved TV series Downton Abbey will be excited about the upcoming movie release this fall.

Local fans will also be happy to know that The Gardens on Anderton will be reprising their successful Downton Abbey Tea. This event will celebrate the movie release and give fans a sense of what it was like in the era of the series.

Guests will be welcomed by staff dressed in formal servants’ attire before being seated at a formal place setting where they will be served tea in fine china together with traditional finger sandwiches and followed by sweets, all provided by Custom Gourmet.

Guests will enjoy their service all while listening to live music in a garden setting. This will be an opportunity to step back in time to the Britain of the 1920s.

There will be plenty of photo opportunities in the beautiful gardens decorated with a British flair. Participants will be encouraged to dress in formal 1920s attire and prizes will be awarded for the best men’s and women’s costume.

If you are a fan of the show or would just love to attend this charming event, mark your calendar for July 28. Tickets will be available at House of Color, Courtenay, Blue Heron Books, Comox, The Gardens on Anderton and online via our website gardensonanderton.org (reservations for tables of six will be available) beginning June 1. We also offer special thanks to our sponsors; Berwick Comox Valley and David’s Tea and All in one Party Rentals.
