First Golden Ticket redeemed in 2020 Valley Vonka

Birthday girl Debbie Casavant has redeemed the first Golden Ticket in this year’s Valley Vonka. Debbie’s brother bought her a Valley Vonka chocolate bar from Hot Chocolates as a birthday present, and when she opened it up, a Golden Ticket was inside.

The Valley Vonka is a fundraiser for YANA (You Are Not Alone) - a local charity offering help to Comox Valley families who need to travel for medical treatment for a child or for a pregnant mother. YANA improves access to healthcare by providing travel funding and accommodation for families of babies to teens, and all ages in between.
