This coming Tuesday at 6 p.m., the Purple Onion Deli at 146 Port Augusta Ave. in Comox will host the next Earthsave vegan dineout.
Founders/owners Chris and Rosa have put together a three-course sit-down dinner.
The menu starts with chipotle bean tamales with fresh salsa verde and mango cranberry salsa. A popular item at their farmers' market booth every Saturday. Next is gazpacho, a cold tomato soup. The third course is sweet potato, tempeh enchilada topped with soy cheese.
As this is a small restaurant, the event will fill up quickly. The evening is by reservation only.
