Black Bear Herbs in Cumberland is hosting an Introduction to Herbs talk as a fundraiser for the Perseverance Creek Streamkeepers Society on Thursday, Dec. 1 from noon to 2 p.m.
Herbalist Amanda Howe will introduce participants to herbal medicines from around the world, including herbs that grow in the riparian areas bordering Perseverance Creek. We will discuss herbs, see them growing in the garden, learn about their medicinal uses and taste them as teas.
The workshop fee is $20 with all proceeds to the Perseverance Creek Streamkeepers Society.
Herbal tea and snacks will be served with the workshops.
All workshops are held at Black Bear Herbs in Cumberland.
