Ideas needed for future of train station

The Island Corridor Foundation is asking for public input to generate ideas for future use of the historic Courtenay train station.

The Island Corridor Foundation is asking for public input to generate ideas for future use of the historic Courtenay train station.

The non-profit is hosting viewings of the station Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. — 2 p.m.

There will also be an open house from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8. Attendees can discuss ideas with staff from the ICF, the City of Courtenay and the K’ómoks First Nation.

An open call for ideas and proposals is being held until Sept. 4.
