Kiwanis Club of Courtenay provides school supplies for nearly 300 children

This is the 15th year that the Kiwanis Club of Courtenay has ordered, packed and delivered a complete year of supplies for 297 Comox Valley elementary school children at a cost of $9,500. Helping by funding programs or donating time to specific children’s events are an integral part of the Kiwanis mandate of changing the world one child and one community at a time.

Trivia Night upcoming

Saturday, October 19th from 7-10:30 p.m., the Kiwanis Club of Courtenay will hold their annual Trivia Night at the Comox Legion. Included in the evening will be an amazing silent auction, 50/50 draw and cash bar. $100 per team or $14 per person. Monies raised will go to BC Children’s Hospital Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Fellowship Program as part of the Kiwanis Children’s Cancer Program to support doctors training in childhood cancers.
