North Island College hosted its annual Open House for high school students Thursday at the Courtenay campus.
About 1,100 Grade 11 students from the Comox Valley, Campbell River, Port McNeill, Port Hardy and Gold River attended. Demonstrations by faculty — including Guts & Glory in Biology and the Magic of Chemistry — gave the students a taste of college life.
