The Bananafish Dance Orchestra kicked off the new year in Cumberland and they are back June 16 at the Waverley Hotel to bring on some summer heat.
Bananafish is a seven-piece powerhouse groove sensation! With a three-piece horn section and a five-piece rhythm section, the music starts playing and the dancing never stops. From Latin to funk, jazz fusion to reggae and ska, this band has been proven to keep you movin’.
Its members are all Vancouver island residents and have either attended or graduated from the VIU Jazz Degree program. BFDO is returning to Island Music Fest, playing Victoria Ska Fest and Rhythm on the Rock and have released their debut self-titled album.
