The Pearl Ellis Gallery, located in Comox, has two exciting workshops coming up.

“Paint Afternoon with Kelsie”: Ever dreamed of painting but were unsure where to start?

Join Kelsie Gibson for an engaging, beginner-friendly session. Using acrylics, Kelsie will guide participants through the creation of a picturesque piece titled “Arbutus by the Sea.” All materials, including paint, canvas, easel, and apron are provided. Discover fundamental techniques such as colour mixing, blending, and how to use brushes to your advantage. This fun workshop will be held on Sunday, Feb. 25, from 2-4 p.m. Prices are $45 for members and $75 for non-members.

“Watercolour Seascapes for Intermediates”: Delve into the enchanting world of watercolours with Alora Griffin, a seasoned architect turned watercolourist. Over the course of two days, Griffin imparts her expertise on capturing the essence of seascapes. Using a limited palette of transparent colours, students will learn to compose, plan, and execute stunning watercolour paintings featuring waves, reflections, and dynamic cloudscapes. This intermediate-level workshop takes place on Sunday, March 3 and 10, from 1-5 p.m. Prices are $100 for PEG members and $130 for non-members.
