CVAG hosts artists' talk

The Comox Valley Art Gallery invites you to an artists’ talk by the Emily Carr University BFA degree program at North Island College.

The Comox Valley Art Gallery invites you to an artists’ talk by the 2012 graduating class of the Emily Carr University BFA degree program at North Island College.

It happens this Saturday at 3 p.m., the closing day of the current CVAG exhibition. This is a great opportunity to take in the exhibit and hear more about the artworks from the artists.

The exhibition, titled In Focus, presents the culmination of art projects by six students in the local Emily Carr University Bachelor of Fine Arts, enrolled at NIC’s Comox Valley Campus; Miel Creasey, Remi Gervais, Janis Guthy, Carol Hilland, Stefanie Krewusik, and Angela Skaley.

Artists’ talks provide a more-in depth and personal look at artists and their practice; talks often incorporate slide shows and/or discussion of the art on display. Admission to the talk is free or by donation and is open to the public and runs for about an hour.
