Emotion in Motion: art by Jerry Simice

The Pearl Ellis Art Gallery features a solo exhibition by local artist Jerry Simice until Feb. 17.

Simice has lived and worked in the Comox Valley since 1979. He has been painting for the past 20 years, experimenting with technique and materials to produce vibrant works on paper, canvas and canvas board with acrylic, oil pastels and inks.

Since retiring in 2017 from a long and fulfilling career in medicine, Simice has enjoyed long hours in his home studio.

An opening reception will be held on Saturday, Feb. 3 from 1 to 4 p.m. The artist will be in attendance and everyone is welcome.

The Pearl Ellis Gallery is located at 1729 Comox Ave. in Comox. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed Sunday/Monday. Free admission.
