Hectic pace for funnyman

Michael Pace has been doing standup since he had a mullet, a thrift store suit and a Datsun hatchback.

Michael Pace has been doing standup since he had a mullet, a thrift store suit and a Datsun hatchback.

Along the way, he’s lost the mullet, bought clothes from a real store, and the Datsun is still running somewhere in a Third World country.

One hundred pounds ago, Pace started headlining all over America and he’s still going strong and will be headlining Comedy  Night at the Avalanche Bar and Grill on April 21.

Pace has had the great fortune to work with top names in the music industry that include Bob Dylan, B.B. King, Natalie Cole, Charo and the late, great Lou Rawls.

Pace has also shared the stage with such comedy legends as Robin Williams, Chris Rock, Dana Carvey, Dennis Miller, Ellen Degeneres and the late-greats,  Rodney Dangerfield and Sam Kinison.

You may have seen him on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm and HBO’s Aspen Comedy Art Festival, and he was an Emmy nominee for his work on HBO’s Comic Relief. He has been seen in commercials for the California Lottery, Anhueser Busch and Coca Cola.

Pace has been a talk radio host, an improvisational actor and sketch artist. He is a well-studied actor about to embark on a new career as a character actor. He has done standup comedy for the past 25 years.

Come, see and enjoy an evening with Michael Pace. Comedy Night Starts at 8 p.m. with a $10 cover.
