The Celebration Singers Community Choirs are celebrating their 30th anniversary with A Joyful Greeting at the Sid Williams Theatre on Friday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m.

The three choirs are led by a trio of talented directors with a wealth of expertise and experience: Carol Anne Parkinson (Men of Notes), Denise Marquette (Celebration Singers) and Stephanie Eakle (Grace Notes). They will deliver a show packed with variety, talent and joy.

Sean Mooney, who has devoted 27 years of talent and passion to the Celebration Singers choirs, will offer piano accompaniment along with Andrew Sims, and local instrumentalists round out the sound. The music will feature a blend of styles.

A highlight of the show will be the premiere performance of Larry Nickel’s choral arrangement of Susan Aglukark’s beautiful composition, O Siem.

The Inuktitut title O Siem translates in English as “a joyful greeting.” This piece was commissioned in celebration of the Celebrations Singers’ 30th anniversary.

Tickets on sale at the Sid box office and website. Adults: $28; Youth (U22): $15.
