Piano player, singer and songwriter Kevin Hubley is the musical guest June 5 at the Avalanche Bar and Grill.
His smooth vocals, heart felt originals, and unique arrangements of some popular hits, will keep you entertained for his solo set from 9 to 10. The Jilli Martini House band will start off the night at 8, and then wrap it up after the guest's set, from 10 to 11.
Kevin was born in a small coastal community in Nova Scotia, and started playing a keyboard at the age of 15, self taught, without any formal lessons. He soon discovered that he had a desire and talent for writing songs as well as the accompanying music for his lyrics.
Kevin is always looking for any opportunity to draw attention to the material that he has created over the past 30 years. He has been on Vancouver Island for seven years, and has had the opportunity to perform at a number of live, 'open mic jams' in local establishments. As well, he has had a few occasions to spend some time in recording studios, and has some piano and vocal original pieces now on CD.
