Join us for a delightful Sunday afternoon musical presentation of Debussy & Friends, June 10 at 3 p.m. at St. John the Divine - 579 5th St. in Courtenay.
Among the most influential composers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Debussy’s music is described as colorful and evocative.
Debussy was influenced by the French symbolist movement, developing a fluid rhythm which was new to Western music. Debussy, himself, influenced such artists as Ravel, Stravinsky, Gershwin, Philip Glass and Duke Ellington.
Accomplished and well-known musicians Tracy Lee Canil, flautist, and Peter Walker, pianist, will be performing for our pleasure and charitable causes.
Suggested minimum donation is $10; refreshments will be served following the concert.
