New Year’s Eve yoga class helps Kitty Cat Society

If you have been looking for something quiet and nourishing to do to celebrate the new year, look no further.

If you have been looking for something quiet and nourishing to do to celebrate the new year, look no further.

Sheron Jutila will be leading a New Year’s Eve yoga class at The Yoga Studio on Rosewall.

This gentle, soothing and candlelit class will be a combination of Restorative Yoga and the very popular Yin Yoga. The new year will be brought in with a guided meditation on loving kindness and a few moments of silence.

This special class is a fundraiser for Kitty Cat P.A.L. Society (Prevent A Litter), which practises T-N-R (Trap-Neuter/Spay-Return) in feral cat colonies and rescues kittens born outdoors. One hundred per cent of the profits will go to this 100-per-cent volunteer-run Comox Valley registered charity.

The class starts at 10:30 p.m. and ends at 12:15 a.m. The cost is $20, and pre-registration is required.

To register, contact Sheron at 250-703-0603 or visit www.FindSheron.blogspot.com. — Sheron Jutila
