Rock on with The Bills (formerly the Bill Hilly Band) on their 20th anniversary tour at the Big Yellow Merville hall on Sept 16. These musical maestros will fill the big hall with lush musical arrangements, soaring voices and blow you away.

Strings, bellows, keys, voices, skin and bows – these are the vehicles for The Bills’ unique sonic approach. Band members Mark Atkinson on mandolin, Richard Moody (Wailin’ Jennies) on violin, Chris Frye on guitar, Adrian Dolan on accordion and Scott White on bass, sport world-class credentials in folk/roots, jazz, classical and world music. In addition, they all sing.

The Bills are a Canadian acoustic music super-group, and legendary folk/roots entertainers. Whether entertaining an intimate theatre audience or rocking a festival crowd of 10,000, these five gifted multi-instrumentalists are masters at leaving listeners breathless and revitalized all at once.

With two previous Juno nominations and multiple Western Canadian Music Awards under their belts, expect musical magic from this extraordinary quintet.

The Bills’ newest album, Trail of Tales, features 14 original tracks with all five members of the band contributing compositional talents. Trail of Tales winds from infectious, grooving folk/pop vocal numbers to beguiling, hypnotic instrumentals.

These five dynamic entertainers will play all the tunes from this latest album as well as favourite tunes from previous recordings. They’ll be attempting to tear off the roof of the hall so come on down to the freshly painted, cozy hall and settle in for an evening of delightful music.
