Caleb Hart brings more than the reggae ‘riddim’ of his Trinidadian homeland and his Royal Youths band to his show at the Waverley Hotel Saturday night.

“He has such a deep, honest passion for the music,” says Ben Howells of Mt. Eliah productions and Atmosphere Gathering. “Every show is a moving experience.”

Hart’s energy and originality have galvanized audiences across Canada and around the world, including the Caribbean, Australia, the USA and New Zealand, in more than 700 shows since 2012.

In between, he’s released five records plus six singles, and has won awards from Edmonton Folk Fest, the Western Canadian Music Awards and more.

According to Hart, his mission is to spread songs of hope and unity wherever he goes. Whether touring with a band or as a solo performer, Hart carries a singular ability to bring the audience together for the show and beyond.

Roots rocker Buckman Coe will be the opening act for Hart and the Royal Youths. Coe creates a striking fusion of reggae, soul, and world music.

His most recent album featured the masterful production by global/electronic artist Adham Shaikh and Jason Kechely, and it was nominated for World Album of the Year in the Western Canadian Music Awards in 2016, and was in the top 10 World Charts in College and Community Radio in the USA.

Tickets are available in advance for $10 from the Waverley or from https://mteliah.tickit.ca.
