As a proud resident of Cumberland for the past four years, and a Vancouver Island resident for 22 years, I am passionate about our community, and I understand what makes our educational needs and village perspective so unique.
I have been a key member of the Parents Advisory Council for the past year, and have volunteered with Cumberland Community School events since I moved to the village.
Through my work with the BC Ministry of Family Justice Services, I have the dedication and professional experience in the legal field to help guide and be an integral member of a team.
I have completed multiple parenting classes in the Comox Valley, and in the process, increased my already passionate view of positive communication with children and peers alike.
As the parent of two young children attending Cumberland Community School, and a volunteer with various community school events, I know how important a strong and highly functional school board is to assisting our schools, and thus students to achieve their potential. I am prepared to spend the time, energy and commitment to do the job right.
I look forward to working with parents, staff, the districts educational partners and the board to continue to build trust, transparency and communication throughout the district.
Each school in the Valley is and should be unique to their community, and I look forward to supporting all our schools to become the best vehicle for their students education.
I welcome your support and am excited to be considered as an advocate for our communities!
