For the second week in a row, a Lotto Max ticket purchased in Courtenay has won a significant amount of money.

While there was no winner of the $60 million jackpot, a ticket matching six of the seven numbers, plus the bonus number (6/7+), was purchased in the Comox Valley city.

It was one of seven tickets to win the 6/7+ pot of $824,387.20. Each of the seven winning tickets is worth $117,769.60.

One of those tickets was sold in Whistler. The other five were from out of province.

Friday’s Lotto Max draw also featured 46 Max Millions chances to win $1 million, making it the largest lottery draw in Canadian history.

There was only one B.C. winner of a Max Millions prize in the May 25 draw. That ticket was purchased in Vancouver.

A ticket purchased in Courtenay for the Friday, May 18 draw won a $1 million Max Millions prize.

With no winner of the $60 million jackpot, the Friday, June 1 Lotto Max will break the record set May 25.
