Boss Hog’s, an award-winning team of ribbers from London, Ont., swept the awards at Comox Valley Ribfest, a three-day event last weekend at Cumberland Village Park.
Following a random tasting test by five judges, Boss Hog’s was deemed tastiest for ribs and for sauce. The team also won the People’s Choice Award.
Other competing ribbers were Gator BBQ, Prairie Smoke & Spice, Grizzly BBQ and Smoke Dem Bones.
The Strathcona Sunrise Rotary club hosted the event. Proceeds will support some of the club’s local and international events.
