Changes are coming to the Comox Valley Regional District planning and development services team.
Scott Smith, general manager of planning and development services, has accepted a new senior executive opportunity with the City of Port Alberni. His last day will be Feb. 5.
“Scott has been an integral member of the CVRD’s senior leadership team since 2018,” said Russell Dyson, CVRD Chief Administrative Officer. “His expertise, dedication and support within the community will be missed as he moves onto this new role.”
To ensure continued, smooth service delivery to the community, Alana Mullaly, senior manager of sustainability and RGS, will be promoted to acting general manager of planning and development services. Many residents will know Mullaly for her involvement with planning and development applications, the housing needs assessment, the Regional Growth Strategy and many climate action response initiatives within the community.
