Comox Valley residents being warned of another phone scam

Con artist playing role of vacuum cleaner salesperson

The public in the Comox Valley are being warned of yet another possible telephone scam.  Several telephone calls have been fielded by the Comox Valley RCMP of citizens receiving phone calls from someone wishing to service or sell a vacuum cleaner. That portion is straight forward but then the caller asks questions about visiting the home and when the homeowner is available.  Everyone is being warned about giving out personal information to someone they don’t know. Before agreeing to anything check into the caller’s credentials with the company they are representing.
