The July 4 article in the Record stating an arrest was made of a suspect in the 2012 murder of former Valley resident Ron Mackintosh is not true.
Foreign Affairs advised Mackintosh's common-law wife Marie Halliday that the DA in Guadalajara, Jalisco has stated this is merely a rumour circulating on Mexican blogs.
