The BC Coroners Service has confirmed that Lee Raymond Hamilton, 20, of Courtenay died in an all-terrain vehicle crash near Cumberland on Oct. 26.
Hamilton was the driver and sole occupant of a quad ATV on a private logging road in a remote area near Cumberland on Saturday afternoon.
When the friends with whom he had been riding realized he was no longer with them, they went to look for him, and found that the ATV had left the road and crashed into trees. He died at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
The family has been notified of the death.
